Nowadays, Technology becomes part of our life. Everything that we do needs technology. Hence people can not be separated from it. Every time and everywhere they use it. And today, technology is also used in education especially in learning language.
Well, if we compare the education today with the education before 21st century. Of course, we can find many differences. At that time, technology was seldom used in learning language because most of teachers preferred to use traditional way which only focused on text book. It was what happened in our country. Then people often used it in other side as like communication and transportation. But look at today, we can see many teachers use it in learning language. It becomes a media in learning language which really helps teachers and also students. Even some of them still use traditional way in learning language. Basic reason why they use that way, it is because they do not have ability to use some technology which is provided by the school.
That can be our reflection as the candidate of teacher. I thing studying this course makes us understand how important technology today is. It can help us to prepare our future. So we know what to do with it.
One thing that we should remember is although we do master technology but we can not guarantee that learning language will run well. Something that we should realize is technology can not cover everything what students need. It is just a media. It also has limitation. So it must be balance between the use of technology and role of teacher in learning language because a teacher is a guide and also facilitator for his / her students then learning language can be well.

but I have a question. what do you mean by traditional way in learning?? do you think it does not use technology?

what I think by traditional method here is method in learning which is based on text book, there is utilizing of technology in learning,

What a great reflection mbak Ira... But actually I have question... Don't you think in our country teacher cannot use technology because school only provide low budget ? I personally think that in our country we have not ready yet to integrated technology and language learning. What you say?

ya.. it can be,
it usually happens because the teacher don't have enough ability to use it..they also do not understand how to apply it.
it's our duty to share how useful technology is especially in language learning and help them.
